debian/rules

I can't seem to figure how to make this work:

override_dh_auto_test:
export `dbus-launch` dh_auto_test

I can run these successfully on the command line and 
the tests pass. debuild seems to be ignoring my rule 
and it hangs (because of the dbus issue). Can 
someone verify I have this correctly entered.
