This is the absolute minimum to run make check under debian build--much more is necessary to wrangle this project into full debian-test-coverage mode :) , however the code-generation phase and the pending gypsy/SCons transition may delay this?  Regardless this passes the small set of core tests under pdebuild.  We'd like to return and to complete during this cycle. . . .
