Muon Updater still buggy after upgrade to 13.10

I had a Kubuntu 13.04 installation which worked fine. Singe I upgraded to 13.10, Muon Updater and Sofware Center don't work. They just crash after opening.

I tried a fresh installation of Kubuntu 13.10 in a Virtual Machine. I opened Muon Updater to install updates. It showd me no updates available. Really? tried to refresh (using the new horrible way of searching for updates in Muon Updater). Still no updates.

Hmm....
