I tried it out. Two rather papercutty remarks:
- Just by open the settings module, I will be asked to apply changes
when I leave it (no actual changes made, at least not consciously)
- Horizontal scrollbars on Tapping tab (no, not the test area ;) )

A big advantage over the "old" config: 
- The disable touchpad on keyboard activity feature!

=> The interface is a but cluttered/dense (maybe a ux designer should
polish this), but in general i'd prefer it already over synaptiks.
