Kubuntu Polo Shirts

Hi all!

I have been recently investigating Polo shirts to put up for sale because
many community members have been asking for them.

After looking through many many different online stores, I think the best
one is a local contact I have, who has agreed to sort out the following for
me:

25 Polo Shirts @ 14€ per shirt + a one time embroidery fee of €40.

If we order more shirts in the future, the embroidery fee will not be
applied, and greater volumes give cheaper prices.

Now, I plan to price the shirts at €25 including postage and put them at
https://holvi.com/shop/Kubuntu/ for sale. We would then advertise they are
there via blogs, the Kubuntu website and anywhere else we felt like. One
nice thing about Holvi is it allows everyone to see the budget and
expenditures - look at https://holvi.com/avoinbudjetti/Kubuntu/ (there is
some example items there at the moment).

To do this, I need to have funding from the Kubuntu fund (administered by
Jonathan Riddell) for the first seed capital to get it going - the sum
would be (25x14) + 40, therefore 390€.

Postage costs would be somewhere between €3,90 and €6,10 depending on
destination (Using Finnish post/economy), and we would have to budget for
around 1€ for packing materials. The postage costs I could pay myself and
use Holvi's convenient expense claim form to claim them back from the
already deposited money of the bought T-shirts.

Finally, the Holvi service has a fee of €0,90 per transaction, so that also
needs to be factored in. The costs then look like this:

€14 Tshirt cost
€6,10 Postage (we use the biggest and take the win when we get it)
€1 Packaging materials
€0,9 Holvi fee

€22 total, making our €25 Retail price doable.

How does this look to people? Any feed back or ways to make it work better?

Kubuntu Council, please weigh in with a +1 or -1 to indicate if you approve
the money expenditure.
