snd_hda_intel is the sound modules used by the vast majority of hardware these
days, including all of my laptops (which work fine with Pulse). Or are you
saying it blacklisted your specific SSID?

Which is why the switch was done the release after an LTS. This is when
experiments happen. It gives us 3 whole release cycles to get it thoroughly
working before the next LTS.
