KDE Graphics exiv2/libkexiv related issues

The well known Nikon MakerNote issue (
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/exiv2/+bug/596327?comments=all)
for image metadata in Digikam is still present in Maverick.  Is it possible
for you guys to recompile the kdegraphics package against the latest libexiv
(19-3) and do a slight version bump on the package, or is this likely to not
help the issue?

I'm going an apt-get source right now to test it myself now that Ubuntu has
bumped the libexiv version.
