Neither of those are KDE apps.  If we wanted to use Evolution, we'd
use GNOME.  And yes, KMail is that much better, if only because you
can pick and choose which pieces of KDEPIM you want to use, while
Evolution *requires* that you configure email just to use calendar.
The larger feature set doesn't hurt either.
