Hi all,
There has been a lot of discussion about how best to integrate notifications
between KDE and Gnome applications. Since a couple of us devs are going to be
at UDS, and will have an opportunity to sit and discuss this with the Ayatana
team, I though it would be useful to collect everyones questions, thoughts and
concerns.
I was thinking maybe we could have either a quick chat on IRC, Tuesday May
19th, starting 1800 UTC in #kubuntu-devel, or for those who cannot make that
time, perhaps forwarding comments, ideas, etc to me.
I will then take all the ideas, suggestions, concerns and questions to UDS and
ensure the kubuntu devs are adequately represented. My goal is to be as
impartial as possible, as I will be presenting the message from the community,
and not necessarily my own, though they may coincide on several areas.
I am fully prepared to throw myself to the wolves to ensure your issues and
concerns are addressed, or at least heard.
The only thing I ask is that we check our emotions at the door. We may
opinions one way or another, however, we should be focused on building a good
working relationship the Ayatana team.
Regards,
Rod.
