Just my two cents,
From an UI point of view, I find Konversation much nicer than Quassel:
- no dock windows
- nicer channel messages view (highly subjective, I know)
- nicer user icons (highly subjective as well)
- usable topic label with highlighted links accessible through single click
- menu bar can be hidden for the case where vertical space is scarce
One thing I like in Quassel which was not in Konversation KDE3 (haven't tried
the KDE4 version yet) is that I do not have to tell it to reconnect to the
channels I was connected to last time I quit.
