Hello all, I'm not the most frequent direct contributor to
Kubuntu, but I try to follow its development quite closely, and
try the live CDs from time to time. So consider my opinion for
what it is 8-)
I must say that I was quite surprised when I read this email, and
I sorely miss not participating in the meeting. Anyway, my remark
is: considering the KDE itself is considering switching to git for
a more distributed development model (see e.g.
<http://dot.kde.org/1219926799/>), and that Debian is switching to
git for its package maintenance, wouldn't git be a better choice
than bzr for the task discussed in this thread?
Note that I'm suggesting this not because of technical reasons
(I've never used bzr myself, only hg and git), but for consistency
with the upstream development styles.
(Oh, I *do* believe that git is a better technical choice, but
I've only _read_ about bzr and not used it, so I do not have the
knowledge to defend my position on that 8-) )
Thanks for the attention and sorry for the intermission,
