bug prioritization/assignment

Is there a way to give some bugs more visibility. Currently thinking of bugs which have a known fix already for some time (e.g. as of hardy alpha 3), which didn't get rolled out yet (since we're though the alpha releases) and which will impact most first-time users.

Specifically thinking of:
