Hardware giveaway Part 3

Oh, if they need testers directly for VIA stuff ofcourse you should use
that, maybe mythbuntu can provide solutions for the missing stuff as
part of the distro (I just gave up on it).
I know it can work, but the documentation I found at via.com.tw is not
exactly amazing (read: incomplete), and the openchrome driver doesn't
support CX700M2 (VIA UniChrome™ Pro II 3D/2D AGP) yet..
Also I noticed throughout my testing that when harddrive is working, the
cpu easily tops 50%, and above. So the IO bandwidth is not that good.
Dont get me wrong, its ok for a desktop and will do that just fine. But
the lack of support for 1080p (hardware cant handle it), and these
quirks on drivers, I just didnt think it was worth it.
Kind regards,
Stefan
