Looking for a mentor to fix a bug

Dear Kubuntu developpers

I'd like to fix that bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112244
Very easy to reproduce; just unplug your ethernet cable (and any WiFi) and try 
to access localhost with konqueror.

I apt-got the source of kdebase & knetworkmanager and tried some grep but 
couldn't find a good start point. So any help accepted.
