Me too.

Removing the feature from the program does not equal to disable it by default.
Having some way to re-enable this without re-packaging would be a better way, in my opinion.
Making unnecessary restrictions like this is not the way to go, even if the wrong usage might break some systems.
Assuming the user doesn't understand what he is doing is not nice.
