Dunno! AFAIK powersave has a more global view of powermanagement than
powernowd which only takes care of cpu freq. And truely speaking, the job of
any cpufreq manager using the userspace governor is quite simple! Everything
is done by the kernel. You only have to choose the target frequency based on
current cpu usage ;-)
The problem is when the kernel or any hardware driver (let's say for example
the video driver) is faced with a peculiar laptop (like mine :-(
