Hi everybody,
Hi Riddell,

though I began a bigger mail about planned future changes to Kubuntu's KDE
settings and how they might affect trained KDE users I threw it away. I think
it might not get read and in the end merely reflect my opinion as a Kubuntu
user.

Anyway I still like to make a short call and ask everybody working on
Kubuntu's desktop elements to consider every change to KDE's default settings
dearly, to be sure the improvement on one end will not be a disadvantage on
another end.

To me and some I know this already happened with what was changes with
Konqueror for breezy (and partly hoary). Web-surfing was improved while the
(to me) much more important file management suffered badly.

If you value user input on some of the changes I'd be glad to give feedback on
any change you are making for dapper.

Don't get me wrong 80% of the ideas in the wikis are really great stuff - just
some things might break Kubuntu for me - that's where my concern comes from.

Kind regards,

Christoph Wiesen
