Hi, I have this same issue since the upgrate to Kubunto 23.04
- sudo nano /etc/sddm.conf => Numlock=on => the keyboard led is "on" but I need to toggle twice to be able to use digits on the login screen
- numlockx status => on

I've removed the Numlock=on from the sddm.conf, now I just need to
enable it instead of having to disable/enable it
