Public bug reported:

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System
-> About Ubuntu

itrue at itrue-vm-22:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description:    Ubuntu 22.10
Release:        22.10

(This also occurs on 22.04)

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy
pkgname' or by checking in Software Center

plymouth-theme-kubuntu-logo
22.10.4

3) What you expected to happen

When the wrong password is entered, an error message should be displayed
and the prompt to re-enter the password should appear clearly.

4) What happened instead

The wrong password error message appears, and then the prompt re-appears
but over the top of the error message, rendering both unreadable.
