Just a silent reminder: I have created a PPA (
https://launchpad.net/~nrbrtx/+archive/ubuntu/xorg-hotkeys ) with
patched packages for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (xenial, with HWE) and upwards
(including upcoming 19.10), use its description for instructions.
