Yes she could have,  had she stayed with him he would not  be dead.
Reality is she could easily have saved  him. If  anything his death is
her  fault by  latter  of progression,  and if  she didn't  do A then he
would not  shoot himself  with action Q. The only real question here is
if she has a  responsibility to help this  and  a responsibility to have
prevented this. She  is not responsible for others actions thus not
needing to stop him from  killing himself, she probably never noticed in
the first place, but in  the bare  bones  of information she could have
saved his life by simply being in  it.
