Same problem here with ubuntu 16.06 and Kdenlive version 16.08.1

after "sudo apt-get install libqt5libqgtk2" problem persists

however problem solved after "sudo apt-get install kde-runtime", which
automatically installed the following packages (167MB of space):

docbook-xsl fonts-dejavu fonts-dejavu-extra kactivities kate-data katepart
  kde-runtime kde-runtime-data kde-style-breeze kde-style-breeze-qt4

Should be nice to know which of the packages is really needed and which not.
