Public bug reported:

Prior to the latest update of Amarok everything was working perfectly.
The newest version was patched to work correctly with Mysql 5.7 and
since then it does not display anything in the applet for Recent Albums.

The last working version I had was 2:2.8.0-0ubuntu7
The current broken version is 2:2.8.0-0ubuntu9

This is on a new clean install of Xenial.
