[Bug 1491691] [NEW] trying to sign a message often results in blank signed message

Not 100% reproducible from start of the program, but happens often
enough

1) control-a over all crap in the kgpg editor window
2) type some random text into the window 
3) sign/verify
4) select key
5) hit OK

result: 
PGP signed message with nothing in it.

Probably happens 5-10% of messages, give or take.
