Public bug reported:
hi there
new version is published
http://download.kde.org/unstable/kdeconnect/0.7.3/src/kdeconnect-
kde-0.7.3.tar.xz.mirrorlist
Changelog can be found on:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kde.kdeconnect_tp&hl=en
(scroll down there):
> What's New
> 0.7.3:
> - Added support for browsing multiple external storages
> - Touchpad plugin now includes keyboard input as well
> - Added setting to mute incoming file transfer notifications
> - Crashes and bugs fixed
It's also at hand on FDroid:
https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=org.kde.kdeconnect_tp
The complete changes (including the most current) can be viewed via:
https://projects.kde.org/projects/playground/base/kdeconnect-
kde/repository
Via backports it's only possible to install V 0.7.1
Would be really nice to find this promising GOSOC 2013-project gets
support in terms of keeping the versions in sync.
Thanks in advance!
Perhaps it's interesting to look at our fellow colleagues at Opensuse:
http://software.opensuse.org/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=kdeconnect&search_devel=false&search_unsupported=false&baseproject=openSUSE%3A13.2
This App helps as a side-effect on the way of integration as it removes a restriction introduced in Android recently NOT to allow ANY programm to write or change data on the external storage card (even if it's a file-manager like ES-Explorer ). Some background can be found on the ES-Explorers Dev.'s discussion at: https://plus.google.com/+TodLiebeck/posts/gjnmuaDM8sn
(Title: KitKat will make your SD Card completely useless: per the Android API specification ...)
Quite a lot of people think the only capture from this restriction is to
root their device, which is not.
Googles APi change will be partly reverted with a change in the API from
within Lollipop-Version-Android Ref.:

access to secondary shared storage devices)
