Public bug reported:

okular is a great tool for pdflatex. nevertheless, in ubuntu 14.04,
okular keeps switching the navigation panel from my usual setting
"thumbnails" to "content" each time pdf file is rebuild. okular should
keep this setting when the pdf file is re-displayed.

furthermore, okular should remember which mode the user set the
navigation panel even across restarts since imho "thumbnails" mode makes
for a better default setting than "contents" (but this choice should be
left to the users, like many other settings like "continuous", "page fit
etc).
