Public bug reported:

On trusty with proposed updates enabled. When I start Qt Creator
directly (for example, by running qtcreator on the terminal), it starts
to consume lots of memory to the point that the whole desktop freezes
and switching tty gets quite slow.

If I click the Ubuntu SDK launcher (not necessarily the Qt Creator one)
on the Dash, this same behavior occurs. Nonetheless, if I run ubuntu-sdk
on the terminal there's no problem and the SDK/Qt Creator loads
normally.
