[Bug 1221071] [NEW] Please merge Bugfix for broken (multiple) selection

When selecting multiple elements, the selection is reset after applying a property (like color) to them.
There is a Bugfix in KDE 4.9, the simple patch is:

It would be good to have this patch in the precise package as well.
