Thanks for the patch. But...
I do very much believe this must be a separate finder. libsdl1 is not libsdl2 so you cannot give someone who does find_package(libsdl) the latter, nor can you give someone who wants find_package(libsdl2) the former. Which unfortunatley is what happens if you fiddle libsdl2 support into the same finder. Therefore what really is needed is FindSDL2.cmake.

Also, please submit your wish upstream to the CMake developers directly.
