[Bug 1035959] [NEW] unable to remove widget in kubuntu

in default installs of kubuntu 12.04, there is a widget that is shown,
labelled, activities. There is no way to remove this widget, and
rightclicking on it when widgets are unlocked offers no option to remove
it.
