Public bug reported:

I think the amd64 releases should also provide Qt libraries for 32 bits
binaries.

Many non-free software including useful commercial softwares provide 32
bits only binaries. For example, Skype still provide only 32 bits
dynamic binaries. Since Microsoft is now controlling Skype, I think the
Linux support won't be better in near future. Therefore 32 bits
libraries are important for the compatibility of Skype and many other
popular softwares.

Many cross-platform software are available only with 32 bits binaries.
For example Skype which allow persons with Microsoft and GNU/Linux
systems to see each other video is available only with 32 bits binaries.
Although SIP applications are available (Ekiga, ...), we can't ask to
Microsoft system user to change their habits, especially when all their
contacts use Skype or MSN (now linked through Skype).

I think the packaging effort would be worth the benefit for :
- Ubuntu interoperability with other systems (Microsoft, ...)
- and better commercial softwares integration.
