[Bug 1129546] [NEW] Activities Manager shows flickering icon for Search and Launch activity

Public bug reported:

What:  The icon for the "Search and Launch" activity flashes back and
forth between the default icon (a circle/globe type icon) and the Search
and Launch icon (binoculars).

How to recreate:  
1. Click on Show Activity Manager
2.  Create activity -> Templates -> Search and launch
3.  Icon flickers between Search and Launch icon and default icon.


Specifying an icon for the activity causes it to switch between all three rapidly flashing back and forth.
