I suppose you didn't wait to enter the password in the open dialog popped by the first command. Isn't it?
If you enter the correct password and the wallet opens, kwalletd no longer gets stuck.

If I'm correct, then you hit another bug I already planned to fix. That
one is about a rush condition when opening wallet.
