Additional information on this bug,

During the installation kscreen fails to install because it requires
libkscreen0 and libkscreen1 is installed.

After chrooting into /target, an apt-cache info shows kscreen to have a dependency on libkscreen0
apt-get install kscreen inside the chroot pulls down libkscreen1 and installs successfully.

Looks like some weird dependency conflict related to the recent move
from libkscreen0 to libkscreen1 for kscreen
