The one bit about the favorites being missing in the live session is
probably fixable in kubuntu-meta, so this is a good package for the bug.

- I think it is something to do with the plasma-netbook interface.

- I know that when I installed kubuntu on the netbook with a liveUSB drive
- a couple versions ago, it at least had a link to system settings so I
- could figure out how to get rid of the netbook interface.

- It is a huge pain to try to get a run command, system settings,  internet, drivers... anything.

- I highly suggest removing the plasma-netbook interface because it
- doesn't do anything other than clutter and confuse.... If it can be made
- usable, it should be as a user selectable option.   but it simply does
- not work.
