Public bug reported:

Om uninstall of kdm while running in unity 2d environment display went
blank and had to ssh in to reboot. Switching to terminals using
Alt+Ctrl+F1-6 did not work. Upon reboot it reported this crash. As it
occured during uninstall unsure of importance.
