The above problem seems to be just using the 4.7.4 ppa packages. Using
the current 4.7.3 packages, the patch

https://api.opensuse.org/public/source/openSUSE:Factory/okular/fix_print_with_landscape.diff?rev=391e43683d5baf75768f695f4c1148c7&

applies and builds fine (just with some warnings about the symbols).
Okular also starts. I have not tried printing yet.
