[Bug 925978] [NEW] precise kde 4.8 does not save monitor layout

Public bug reported:

after upgrade to precise, after every restart the monitor layout is reset.
Save as default does not work.

had no problem with kde 4.8 from backport ppa on oneiric.

Graphics Card is
VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)

on a desktop pc.
