Public bug reported:

On various pages in ubuntu.com, such as http://www.ubuntu.com/download,
Konqueror/KHTML displays spurious characters. See screenshots, for
example, where what's supposed to be a dingbat like "❭" is displayed as
"â⚥¢" or "⯠̊", depending on the installation.

The characters are displayed correctly in Konqueror/WebKit. The
characters are not in the HTML source code. If text is selected with the
mouse, they are not contained in the clipboard.
