[Bug 952001] [NEW] open GL if enabled crashes Kubuntu 12.1

Looks lik ethis is a much talked about big with no decent fix. Why can't
all our  smart freiends who understand Linux, create a debian package
fix for  ignorami like me? I saw so many solutions.. but going through
that command line is daunting . Thanks in advance, for your help.
