Installing ppa:kubuntu-ppa/ppa should solve the problem?
Didn't worked to me.
I use KUbuntu 10.04.3 LTS.

Steps tryed:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get purgue kgamma
sudo apt-get install kgamma

Log (in Pt-Br):


É preciso baixar 0B/68,3kB de arquivos.
Depois desta operação, 307kB adicionais de espaço em disco serão usados.
debconf: falha ao inicializar frontend: Dialog
debconf: (Caso você seja iniciante no sistema Debian GNU/Linux escolhe 'crítica' agora e veja somente as questões mais importantes.)
debconf: tentando com frontend: Readline
Selecionando pacote previamente não selecionado kgamma.
(Lendo banco de dados ... 347628 arquivos e diretórios atualmente instalados).
Desempacotando kgamma (de .../kgamma_4%3a4.4.5-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb) ...
Configurando kgamma (4:4.4.5-0ubuntu1) ...

Installed, but how invoke it by terminal. Looks like there's something
wrong with the debconf after the install of this ppa. See the log.
