Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace-bin

The startup script /usr/bin/startkde does not expect empty strings as
first argument when checking for netbooks. Furthermore, the code puts
two commands between backticks within an if-condition, namely `laptop-
detect` and `grep -q Hidden=false ~/.config/autostart/plasma-
netbook.desktop`, which is unnecessary since it only cares about the
exit code. If this should suppress error messages, `2>/dev/null` should
be used instead of backticks.

Installed version of kdebase-workspace-bin: 4.6.2a-0ubuntu5.1
Distro: Kubuntu 11.04 Natty 64b

** Affects: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Tags: patch
