Maybe related to same bug. Since ~ 2011-01-16, almost all KDE applications freeze X interface, without being root :
kdm does not launch kde till the end, but successful for fluxbox
dolphin, ktorrent, virtualbox freeze X
okular seems not to freeze anything.

Behaviour, after starting a K application, it seems that first the
bluetooth mouse is lost, no more action interaction with windows, except
right click on root window, then no more action at all (touchpad,
keyboard...)

No possibility to extract log information. Only some feedback from an xterm when launching a K application:
unnamed app as previously defined and org.freedesktop.desktop.Dbus.Error.NoReply does not answer or does not exist...
maybe related to kdebase or ibus/dbus

system is ubuntu 11.04, kernel  2.6.37-12-generic x86_64
kdebase 5:55ubuntu1
kdebase-* 4:4.5.95-0ubuntu1
