I have a similar problem.

I am running a Desktop with two screens and two separate desktops. Once
logged into the first desktop, I start an LXDE-Session on the second.

Now when kscreenlocker jumps in, the CPU usage on the first (locked -
why does it only lock one Desktop btw.?) Desktop goes up to 100% and
stays there. I have to switch to the console and kill kscreenlocker with
-9, then the machine becomes usable again.
