I had a problem in the /etc/apt/sources.list, there were two lines
missing:

deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu natty-updates main restricted
deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu natty-updates main restricted

I will try to reproduce the problem and raise a different bug in the
future if appropriate. Thanks!
