  When using the flip switch effect for window switiching the desktop becomes unresponsive.
  This only happens when using the binary nvidia driver.

+ - Open System Settings -> Desktop -> Effects
+ - Set Effect for window switching to Flip Switch 
+ - Press alt-tab for several seconds
+ - The desktop should still be responsive
