Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

Hi,

Seen on 5 different Kubuntu Natty Beta machines upgraded from Maverick,
out of 5 tried. 100% reproductible.

Asking for system shutdown either from inside KDE, or from the KDM login
screen, results in KDE/KDM exit and system being left on a text console
login prompt. System won't shut down until asked for in good ole' text
mode, i.e. "sudo init 0", etc.
