Same thing to me, i have 2 machines, one of them the desktop effects are
working just too slow after the upgrade to kde 4.5, the another one it's
working very good, it's a very rare thing, if the kde 4.4 it was working
greate, why the new kde it's than slow...

the slow machine it's a intel dual core E2200 with a GeForce 7050, the
another one it's a laptop hp G61 with an amd Athlon II dual core and an
Ati HD 4200
