Thank you for confirming

** Changed in: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided => Medium

** Changed in: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu)
       Status: Incomplete => Confirmed

** Description changed:

  Since the upgrade from intrepid to lucid, the energyprofiles in KDE dont
  work properly on my lenovo T60.

  Whenever a new profile is activated, display goes to lowest brightness.
  When I use the function keys I can dim brighter, but the onscreen
  display does not show the brightness.

  Every event that occurs in the profile will dim the display to low
  brightness again.
