[Bug 578149] [NEW] REGRESSION: Plasma battery applet doesn't display time remaining

were marked WONTFIX and locked to prevent further changes.  This is
absurd.  I am filing a new bug report, because I'm unable to reopen the
others.]

Disabling this feature by default is silly. I have used it on my laptop
for years, and it's perfectly accurate enough. At the very least it lets
you know if you have enough juice to finish watching a movie. The
alternative is to go mucking around in a text file, or run powertop in a
terminal. There's no reason to _remove_ a feature that most users are
accustomed to seeing. Just because one or a few devs have laptops that
have inaccurate battery reporting doesn't mean the rest of us do also.

Sure, KDE should reenable it, but Kubuntu should patch the default
config file in the meantime. There's no reason not to, and every reason
to do so. It's a standard feature!  Let's not go the GNOME route of
taking features away from the users with each new release.
